BONDING
If your teeth are chipped, broken, cracked or badly stained or have slight gaps, ask about bonding. Bonding is a cosemetic procedure that uses a tooth-colored material that are attached or bonded to the tooth surface. The process can fill in gaps, improve unsightly stains or change the color or shape of teeth. Requiring a single office visit, bonding lasts several years. Bonding is more susceptible to staining or chipping than other forms of restoration. When teeth are chipped or slightly decayed, bonded composite resins may be the material of choice. Bonding also is used as a tooth-colored filling for small cavities.
